Snoop Dogg, eine der schillerndsten Figuren des US-Rap-Biz, hat sowohl ein Händchen für Geniales wie auch für Grottiges. Die DVD zur Rhythm&Gangsta-Tour fällt leider in letztere Kategorie. Schlaffe Farben und sinnlose Effektschleuderei vermiesen das Konzert, ein Extra wird zum Anteasern der nächsten DVD Snoop in Jamaica" missbraucht, und seine 10 Gebote" sind eine reine Leseübung. Der völlig überdrehte visuelle Dilettantismus wird auch noch von mickrigem Ton flankiert. Und weil Snoops ausgeklügelte Songs live oft stumpf und unharmonisch klingen, reißen auch die 21 Tracks der fetten Audiobeigabe das Ruder nicht mehr rum. (kab) -- kulturnews.de
