Marsh was instrumental in creating a viable clinic in Kyiv that could offer hope those who would otherwise go untreated. With an evocative score by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, Smith's fascinating and unsentimental film follows Marsh as he travels back and forth to from the UK to the clinic in Ukraine, working to help those desperately in need. It documents his achievements and failures, his profound humanity, and the complex, pragmatic relationship he shares with his patients.
