Drama based on real events in which a mother takes the law into her own hands after her son suffers sexual abuse. When Ellie Nesler (Christine Lahti) finally discovers the cause of her son Brandon (Andrew Ducote)'s increasingly unbalanced behaviour - the abuse he endured at the hands of Daniel (Robert Bockstael) - she naturally takes matters to the police. However, when she learns that Daniel has previously been convicted of a similar offence, for which he received no sterner punishment than probation, she decides that she must resolve the issue herself. Will a jury look sympathetically on her murder of Daniel
