In this dramatic story, Academy Award -winner MERCEDES RUEHL (Married to the Mob) gives a magnificent performance as a single mother sentenced to 20 years for a crime of which she is virtually innocent. Life has never been easy for Susan Walker. A widow with two young children, she has struggled to attain a long-cherished goal: to become a highly respected nurse. Peace and security seem within reach until the night armed cops burst into her house and arrest her as a supposed co-conspirator in her ex-boyfriend s drug-dealing. A traumatised Susan is sentenced to 20 years, the notorious mandatory minimum sentence for her crime . But even when torn apart from her children and buried alive in a hell-hole prison, Susan begins a fight for justice against a flawed legal system.
