This is a compilation CD featuring all brand new recordings of Joe Meek tracks. This tribute to the prolific 50's/60's producer who eventually shot his landlady before turning the gun on himself was put together by Alan Wilson at Western Star over the past 2 years. Many of Meek massive hits are included in the tribute, along with some great obscure and interesting tracks. Joe Meek is one of the very few producers with a big fan club and cult following. The Joe Meek Appreciation Society have really taken to this project and have given it good coverage in their 'Thunderbolt' magazine. The Tribute features many of today's Rockabilly and Rock n Roll musicians from the Western Star artist roster - with one exception; Mike Berry.
