Horror based on the best-selling computer game. Christian Slater plays private investigator Edward Carnby, a detective who specialises in supernatural phenomena. While investigating the mysterious death of one of his best friends, Carnby uncovers a conspiracy to bring back a race of evil demons known as the Abskani to take over the world. With his ex-girlfriend Aline (Tara Reid) and rival Richard Burke (Stephen Dorff), Carnby is all that stands between the Abskani and world domination. But with his fragile psyche beginning to crack after an encounter with an evil spirit known as the Queen, can Carnby save the world before he breaks down completely?
