Tongue-in-cheek Korean martial arts action. Sang-hwan (Ryoo Seung-beom) is a hapless cop who does his best to protect the innocent, but more frequently finds himself the butt of jokes from the gangsters who live in his neighbourhood. His life changes completely when he is approached by the mysterious Seven Masters, who claim that he is destined to be the 'Maruchi' and who give him the power to master chi energy. Not quite believing the Seven Masters, Sang-hwan is content to go along with the scheme for the time being, but he has to rapidly change his approach when HeugUn, the Master of Absolute Evil, escapes from his elemental prison and returns to destroy the world. Only Sang-hwan as the Maruchi has the power to defeat him, but can he master the new chi fighting techniques in time?
