Prospector Daniel Dillon sold his wife and daughter to another gold miner for the rights to a gold mine. Twenty years later, Daniel is a wealthy man who owns much of the old west town named Kingdom Come, and wants to turn the town into a thriving city. To achieve his ambition he asks an engineer plotting the course of the Pacific Railroad Expedition to survey the surrounding area.
