Sammo Hung directs, co-writes and stars in this action comedy Western. A group of bandits posing as police set a fire and use the ensuing distraction to rob a bank. Fire Chief Tsao Cheuk-kin (Yuen Biao) and his men race to put out the fire while the bandits plan to escape on the glamorous new express train shortly passing through. Meanwhile, Ching Fong-tin (Hung) wants to bring money into the town to improve his hotel and so he blows the tracks up with dynamite, forcing the train to stop. However, the train was carrying numerous passengers including some criminals and Japanese ninja and the action culminates in a massive brawl as the townsfolk fight to save their home.
