DESCRIPTION
Built during the First Cylon War, the Battlestar Galactica was a titanic combination of carrier and battleship for the Colonial Fleet. It was never considered technologically sophisticated, but it was equipped with substantial armour plating and an array of weaponry in its early years and used its considerable size to ward off threats.
