With hard rock turning into heavy metal, and punk rock beginning its ferocious attack on the mainstream, Tom Jones remained in immovable figure in pop culture in the mid-1970s, filling venues with fans eager to hear his voice - "The Voice" - in its full nature-defying power. Broadcast on French radio, this performance in Paris, recorded in the spring of 1976, reveals just why. 'Help Yourself'; 'Green, Green Grass of Home'; 'Delilah'. Jones' career-making 1960s hits are present and current, along with a sampling of the songs that helped maintain his presence on the charts in the new decade, namely 'I (Who Have Nothing)' and the UK Top 5 hit 'Daughter of Darkness'.

There's nothing gloomy about this concert, though, which captures ones of the finest performers of his generation shining brightly in the City of Light.
