Daniel Barber directs this action thriller set during the American Civil War starring Brit Marling and Hailee Steinfeld. With the men of the family gone, three women - sisters Augusta (Marling) and Louise (Steinfeld) and African-American slave Mad (Muna Otaru) - must fend off the attacks of the cruel and merciless Moses (Sam Worthington) and Henry (Kyle Soller), two scouts who have run ahead of the looming Union Army.
