Scotland Coast to Coast

Alfred Wainwright's Coast to Coast across the north of England has become one of the most popular long distance routes in the country and now well known outdoor writer and broadcaster Cameron McNeish has produced a marvellous route across his native Scotland, from the North Sea beach at Aberdeen to the wilds of Knoydart. En route Cameron also climbs Mount Keen, Scotland's most easterly Munro, and Ladhar Bheinn, the most westerly Munro on the mainland. Other highlights include the traverse of the Lairig Ghru through the heart of the Cairngorms and a crossing of the once notorious Corrieyairack Pass between Laggan and Fort Augustus.The walk concludes at Cameron's favourite pub, The Forge, the most remote pub in Britain, a perfect finish to a wonderful walk across the breadth of Scotland.
