Lasse Hallström directs this Swedish thriller starring Tobias Zilliacus, Mikael Persbrandt and Lena Olin. When a young woman and her parents are murdered, the detective in charge of the case consults with a famous psychiatrist in an attempt to understand why the killer targeted the whole family, with only the son managing to escape. As the psychiatrist reveals his unconventional methods of hypnotism he places the comatose son into a trance in the hopes of re-enacting the fateful night.
