Drymbago are a tight, funky afrobeat outfit currently based in Bangor, North Wales. Over the last few years they hava gigged extensively throughout Wales, appearing at major festivals such as Sesiwn Fawr Dolgellau and the National Eisteddfod. Wherever they play, people say the same thing Drymabgo really make you want to dance. This album is their first major release. In many quarters there has been a growing sense of anticipation as fans wait to hear how the live dance vibe translates onto CD. Certainly, the album DYDDIAU DA succeeds in capturing the live feel of the band; it does not fail to please. It contains a mixture of genres from the obvious afrobeat influence to latin, funk and jazz, but always unexpected and thoroughly captivating. This is a dynamic and memorable offering from one of the best bands in the Welsh scene.
