This is the "complete" Original London Cast recording of The Music Man with Hollywood star Van Johnson in the lead and including bonus tracks of demos cut from the show performed by composer Meredith Willson, all appearing on CD for the first time.

Stage musical The Music Man was a mega hit show on Broadway that has become an American institution. It transferred to London in 1961 with Hollywood heart-throb Van Johnson in the leading role where it ran for a year. This CD release contains all 18 songs recorded for the LP issue and also includes demos performed by composer Meredith Willson of cut songs from the show. Fans of Van Johnson will be pleased that we have also included his demo recording of "Ya Got Trouble", presumably made as an audition piece.
