At the Heart of It All

Dat het goed gaat met de folkscene is in niet geringe mate te danken aan Capercaillie (spreek: Kepper-klie), een bijzondere band die de eeuwenoude Keltische cultuur goed wist te vermengen met eigentijdse pop en andere invloeden. Voor diegenen die vonden dat de band op de laatste cds wat teveel elektronica gebruikte en gevaarlijk dicht langs de new-age-grenzen koerste, zal dit album een opsteker zijn. Hun grootse akoestische tijden zijn weer terug, met veel nadruk op de prachtige zang van Karen Matheson. Niet alleen Capercaillie op haar best, maar ook nog een aantal gerenommeerde gastmuzikanten uit folk Ún jazz.
