My Town

Voor ons een nieuwe naam, maar in Schotland geen onbekende, deze zanger/gitarist uit Edinburgh. In 1992 had Dean Owens en zijn groep Smile een hit met het nummer 'Obvious'. Zijn volgende band the Felsons wist in countrykringen redelijke bekendheid te vergaren. Nu vallen de stukjes van de puzzel op hun plaats: een luisterplaat met prachtige country/pop nummers. Owens kreeg naast hulp uit Schotland (o.a. Karine Polwart en Colin Steele) ook de steun van niemand minder dan steelgitarist Al Perkins (o.a. Flying Burritto Brothers, Bob Dylan en Emmylou Harris) en Will Kimbrough (o.a. Rodney Crowell).
