Collection of foreign-language features starring the Chinese actor, Jet Li. 'The Warlords' (2007) tells the story of a trio of warriors in the era of the Qing Dynasty - General Ma Xinyi (Li), Cao Er-Hu (Andy Lau) and Zhang Wen-Xiang (Takeshi Kaneshiro) - who make a pact of brotherhood to one another vowing that anyone who harms one of the brothers will be killed. 'The Founding of a Republic' (2009) is an historical epic that explores the climax of the Chinese Civil War in the 1950s. The film opens with the leaders of the two main factions in the war, Mao Zedong (Tang Guoqiang) of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Chiang Kai-shek (Zhang Guoli) of the nationalist party Kuomintang (KMT), agreeing to call a truce, but will it last? In 'The Emperor and the White Snake' (2011) young physician Xu Xian (Raymond Lam) falls in love with a beautiful woman when she saves him from drowning. However, unbeknownst to him she is in fact Madame White Snake (Shengyi Huang), a thousand-year-old snake demon appearing in the guise of a woman to try and avoid Fa Hai (Li), a sorcerer who intends to destroy her.
