Chopin: 24 Preludes

One of the most acclaimed Chopin interpreters, South Korean pianist Dong Hyek Lim here turn's his attention to some of the composer's most revered works, taking as his focus the 'Preludes, op. 28'. 24 miniatures of spellbinding virtuosity, myriad colours and staggering emotional range. In addition to the bravura-packed 'variations brillantes' and the ornamental lullaby 'berceuse', Lim performs Chopin's sensuous evocation of the romantic world of the Venetian gondola, 'Barcoralle', regarded by many as the composer's supreme achievement.
