Flightcase heisst das neue Album des schottischen Jazz-Keyboarder/Pianisten Josef Akin, Mitglied der Formationen Amara und GABO, der Einflüsse von Latin, Afro, Hip-Hop und Free Jazz in seinen inspirierenden Sound einbaut. Aufgenommen in den raren Freiheitsmomenten während der Lockdowns, mit Vorbildern von Herbie Hancock bis Sun Ra und der Philosophie, dass jedes Bandmitglied seinen Gefühlen freien Lauf lassen kann, statt innerhalb eines gesetzten Rahmens zu arbeiten, strahlt das Werk eine Freude an Kooperation und menschlicher Verbundenheit aus.
