Worried that their troublesome St Bernard is about to be sent away for good, the Newton kids secretly send him to obedience school. But then a chance mix-up gets their dog, Beethoven, sent to stay with the millionaire Sedgwick family, and the Sedgwick's well-behaved St Bernard delivered to the Newton's house.
