When the band went on hiatus in 2006, he focused on solo music. The Darkening Scale project was born. It's a purely digital affair that David produces in his home studio. After several reissues of the back catalogue, "Locum Windsock" features songs that were created during the last two years of the Covid pandemic and were only released digitally via Bandcamp
