US supernatural horror starring Linda Cardellini. In 1970s Los Angeles, widowed social worker Anna Tate-Garcia (Cardellini) takes on the case of a troubled mother suspected of endangering the lives of her two children. However, Anna quickly discovers the true reasons behind her erratic behaviour when the malevolent spirit La Llorona (Marisol Ramirez) latches onto her and seeks to take her two children, Samantha and Chris (Jaynee-Lynne Kinchen and Roman Christou),for her own. In desperate need of help to protect them, Anna seeks out the help of former priest Rafael Olvera (Raymond Cruz) to ward off La Llorona.
