SYNOPSIS
Août 1896. Le Londres victorien est ébranlé par un événement surnaturel qui donne à certaines personnes - principalement des femmes - des capacités anormales, du merveilleux au dérangeant. Mais quel que soit leur « tour » particulier, tous ceux qui appartiennent à cette nouvelle sous-classe sont en grave danger. Il incombe à la mystérieuse veuve au sang chaud Amalia True et à la jeune et brillante inventrice Penance Adair de protéger et d’abriter ces « orphelins » surdoués. Pour ce faire, ils devront affronter des forces brutales déterminées à anéantir leur espèce.
