In the autumn of 1988, Michael Palin set out to circumnavigate the world, following the route taken by Phileas Fogg in the epic novel of 1873. His journey became a great 20th-century adventure that was made into a BBC television series. 20 years later, Palin returns to the scene of one of the most memorable sequences of the series - the journey across the Arabian Sea from Dubai to Mumbai in a traditional dhow. Can he trace the men with whom he forged a special bond, and on whom his life depended two decades ago?
