A delightful, wondrous, candy-colored comedy in which advertising companies harass your dreams, the government taxes them, and a dream appraiser embarks on a fantastic, romantic adventure thanks to an eccentric old lady. In a future not far from now, tax inspector James Preble doesn't have it easy. Every night he dreams of a stuffy pink room filled with advertising offers. His waking life isn't much better. Every shred of adventure and unpredictability seems to have vanished in this end-capitalist world. As if every aspect of his life is dictated. Then he's invited by the eccentric Arabella, who hasn't paid a single dream tax in her entire life. She asks him to examine all her dreams, stored on thousands of VHS tapes. In no time, Arabella disrupts James's orderly life. Staying in her pink castle house, his and her dreams become intertwined, and reality itself begins to take on increasingly surreal forms. A beautifully designed, vintage love letter to fantasy and creativity. But also a dream of a film. Never before has a film come so close to dream reality. It exists between deep sleep and waking life, where you're connected to your desires and fears, where you're brave, where you declare your love for the woman of your dreams, and who also provides the perfect escape from the troubles of the waking life.
