EBC is a British company that is one of the largest disc brake manufacturers. Comfortably exceeding stringent TUV standards it is best known for its’ motorcycle disc brake pads, but it also supplies inter-city trains, the DLR, buses and tractors as well as the bicycle market. More than 150 replacement pads, suitable for almost every MTB bike sold in the U. K. are sold by bike shops. These are often superior to original equipment supplied on bikes providing the users with additional benefits. Used and endorsed by Steve Peat through his successful world championship winning downhill racing career, brake pads for all disciplines are supplied in a variety of compounds. Reduction of brake dust. Environmental credentials. EBC Brake Pads are available in Three compound Grades - Green (Organic), Red (High friction organic) & Gold (Sintered). Green – Organic (Standard). Medium lifetime pad for all disciplines and conditions. Ideal replacement upgrade for all compatible systems. Designed for general use including Road, Cross-Country and Trekking. Medium/soft pad compound for better stopping. This is a resin pad, made of an organic compound. Can be used on hardened or non-hardened rotors. Longer Life Formula These super high friction sintered bronze "Gold" pads set new standards in disc brake stopping power combined with maximum lifetime in all conditions. Nothing lasts longer. These pads also work great in mud, water, sand etc. If you have a premature wear problem with standard pads, switch to Gold - problem solved. Not suitable for downhill race use.
