The Breaking Point - The Criterion Collection

Crime drama directed by Michael Curtiz starring John Garfield and Patricia Neal. Charter boat captain Harry Morgan (Garfield) is struggling for business. Stranded in Mexico because he can't afford the trip back to California, he meets shady lawyer F.R. Duncan (Wallace Ford) who persuades him to transport eight Chinese men to America in exchange for money he desperately needs. Soon his livelihood and his marriage are threatened - and so is his life.
