Double bill of animated comedies featuring the voice talents of Steve Carell. In Despicable Me' (2010) Gru (voice of Carell) is desperate to outshine his rival Vector (Jason Segel), who has stolen the Great Pyramid of Giza, and so he hatches a plan to steal the Moon with the help of his army of Minions. Everything is going according to plan until three orphan girls, Margo (Miranda Cosgrove), Agnes (Elsie Fisher) and Edith (Dana Gaier), enter his life and his priorities begin to change. In the sequel 'Despicable Me 2' (2013) Gru is now living a life of domestic bliss in suburbia with his adopted daughters Margo, Agnes and Edith but his world is turned upside down when he is abducted by agent Lucy Wilde (Kristen Wiig) of the Anti-Villain League on the orders of her boss Silas Ramsbottom (Steve Coogan). All is not as it seems, however, for with the world threatened by a new and dastardly supervillain known as Eduardo (Benjamin Bratt), it falls to Gru and his Minions to save the day.
