Beautiful minimalism on the one hand (double bass, drums, vocals) and radical sound on the other. However, Tuleje is not a strictly folk band, let alone a folk one, it is the music of the roots of the place where they live, in their highly original, contemporary, sometimes wild version. The band Tuleje consists of Gosia Zagajewska (vocals), Ksawery Wojcinski (double bass) and Wojtek Kurek (drums). Their interpretation of folk music from eastern Wielkopolska (Greater Poland) is imbued with deep respect for the original material while expressing their subjective view of tradition. It is a daring view, full of references to jazz, blues, early music and free improvisation.
