John Delbridge has enjoyed music all his life. Singing in church choirs, concerts and cantatas, music found its foundation in John through his involvement in the church music scene. John was inspired by such singers as Paul Robeson, Harry Secombe, Gordon McCrae and many of the great singers of that era. As a builder for most of his working life, he has had a reputation for singing and whistling throughout most of his jobs to the great delight of his clients. One of his great joys has been the making of Grandfather clocks for his family. The track, Grandfather s Clock has been included in this recording as a particular favourite of his and a tribute to the hours of singing and whistling that went on in his shed as he built them.
