Indeed, he provided many of the musical interludes in Beyond TheFringe, most notably his rendition of the Colonel Bogey March.Plays The Theme From Beyond The Fringe features Dudley fronting a trio with Peter McGurk and Chris Karan,offering such numbers as Theme From Beyond The Fringe and extended jazz workouts on I Love Paris andWhats New, among others. It becomes quite apparent how much Dudley styled his play and was influenced byOscar Peterson and Erroll Garner, although as this album adequately shows, he was no mean improviser himself.
