Lovers Tina (Andie MacDowell) and Jake (John Malkovich) are enjoying the good life, living far beyond their means in an expensive London hotel. To cover the costs Jake wants to sell a valuable sculpture given to Tina by her husband, but when a deaf-mute maid steals the object first, the lovers begin to suspect each other of a double-cross, leading to a mass of mix-ups and misunderstandings. Also stars Peter Riegert and Lolita Davidovich.
