Final instalment of the sci-fi saga's prequel trilogy which sets up the events of 'Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope' (1977). As the Clone Wars rage on, the rift between Chancellor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) and the Jedi Council widens with young Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) caught in the middle, his allegiances torn. Seduced by promises of power and the temptation of the dark side, he pledges himself to the evil Darth Sidious (McDiarmid) and the Sith Order, becoming Darth Vader. Together, the Sith Lords set in motion a plot of revenge against the Jedi in an attempt to destroy them all. Meanwhile, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) tries to turn his former apprentice back to the light side, leading to a climactic lightsaber battle that will shape the fate of the galaxy. The cast also includes Natalie Portman, Samuel L. Jackson and Christopher Lee.
