Gene Wilder and Marty Feldman star in this comedy horror directed by Mel Brooks. Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (Wilder) has always tried to distance himself from his infamous grandfather Victor but when he learns that he has inherited his family's Transylvanian estate, he decides to visit. His scientific curiosity is piqued when he discovers his grandfather's laboratory and notebooks in which he documented his experiments with reanimating the dead. Much to the dismay of the local townsfolk, Frederick eagerly resumes his grandfather's work. The cast also includes Teri Garr, Peter Boyle. Gene Hackman, Madeline Kahn and Cloris Leachman.
