Sugar Mountain

Adventure thriller set in Alaska starring Cary Elwes and Jason Momoa. After an accident on their fishing boat results in impending repossession, brothers Liam (Shane Coffey) and Miles (Drew Roy) attempt to pull off an audacious missing person hoax that they can sell to the media. This will also help them pay off their debts to local criminal Joe Bright (Momoa). They fabricate a fall out over Miles' girlfriend Lauren (Haley Webb) and have a staged bar fight, then the following day when all three are hiking Miles goes off on his own into the wilderness as planned leaving Liam and Lauren to report him missing. When chief of police Jim Huxley (Elwes) spots inconsistencies in their story and Miles does not return after the allotted two weeks, Liam and Lauren struggle to hold it together. As the lies deepen and the truth becomes harder to discern, tragedy becomes undeniable.
