By the time of the concert he d had 8 Top 10 singles in the UK (incl 3 No.1s & 2 No.2s) and in Ireland he had just had an unprecedented sequence of 5 consecutive No.1 singles, part of a sequence of 13 Top 10 singles in three years another record.
