Complete third series of the comedy drama dealing with the attempts of Major Sinclair Yates (Peter Bowles) to maintain order as magistrate for the West of Ireland. The Major has to manage without his wife, who is now in England nursing her ailing mother, as he receives reports of illegal whisky brewing, spirits in the well, and underhand dealings at the hunt, in the following episodes: 'The Muse in Skebawn'; 'Apollo Riggs'; 'A Friend of Her Youth'; 'In the Curranhilty County'; 'Lisheen Races'; and 'The Devil You Know'.
