Series 1: Top British spy Sylvia Fox (Emilia Fox, Silent Witness) is in Italy for a family wedding when the groom goes missing, leaving a dead body behind, and it's up to Sylvia to save her niece from disaster. Disillusioned with her job and longing to reconnect with her sister (Tara Fitzgerald, Game of Thrones), she decides to stay in Umbria. A corpse uncovered at an archaeological dig proves the starting point for a new mystery; and the murder of a student sees Sylvia drawn back into the murky world of MI6. Series 2: Sylvia is enjoying her new life and growing closer to handsome Carabinieri Capitano Riva (Giovanni Cirfiera, American Crime Story). But trouble keeps seeking her out: a pillar of the community is murdered; Sylvia goes undercover at a house party where nothing is what it seems; and finally, an old enemy comes seeking vengeance.
