With the fall of the Berlin Wall imminent double agent Martin Rauch (Jonas Nay) gets caught up in the turmoil as he is accosted by several different agencies who offer him prison, death or work. Meanwhile, rumours abound about a major terrorist attack being planned and Martin is taken hostage accused of plotting it.
