Biographical drama starring Hugh Jackman as American Senator Gary Hart during his 1988 presidential campaign. Having captured the imagination of young voters, Senator Hart becomes the front runner for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination until details emerge of an extramarital affair with Donna Rice (Sara Paxton). As his personal life unravels and his popularity wanes the scandal looks set to hinder Hart's future political ambitions. The cast also features Vera Farmiga and J.K. Simmons.
