Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reprise their roles as Detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett in this action comedy sequel directed by Michael Bay. While they investigate an ecstasy drug ring in Miami, Marcus questions whether or not he should remain partners with Mike. Meanwhile, Mike is secretly dating Syd (Gabrielle Union), Marcus's younger sister, and neither of them are aware that she is working undercover for the DEA. As they continue to hunt drug lord Hector Juan Carlos Tapia (Jordi Mollà), Syd is kidnapped, and Mike and Marcus must race to find her and stop Tapia before it's too late. The cast also includes Joe Pantoliano and Therese Randle.
