Dennis Hopper directs and stars in this cult drama. CB (Linda Manz) is a small-town teenager with a drug-addicted mother (Sharon Farrell) and a father (Hopper) in prison. Fed up with the confusion which surrounds her, CB runs away and only agrees to come back when she hears that her dad will soon be getting his parole. But when the old man does return, CB only lurches further into her uncomprehending encounter with the ugliness of the adult world.
