Vittorio De Sica directs this comedy starring Peter Sellers, Victor Mature and Britt Ekland. Aldo Vanucci (Sellers), known as the Fox, is a crook and master of disguise currently serving time in prison when a gold smuggling assignment comes his way that is too good to turn down. Using his abilities of disguise Vanucci escapes from prison and makes his way to Italy. In order to smuggle the gold Vanucci pretends to be a director shooting an avant-garde film, using his sister, aspiring actress Gina (Ekland) and popular American movie star Tony Powell (Mature), as ruses to help with his plan.
