With Faultline's David Kosten again at the production helm, this is a beautifully realised record. Sounding like a cross between Jeff Buckley and early Pink Floyd, Christophers' ethereal voice is anchored by crunchy beats, contemplative piano and slow-building, cyclical grooves. He creates tantalising word-sketches--such as "When you drove your car into the stream", or "You got shipwrecker's eyes" - and leaves them hovering like lyrical vapour trails. He doesn't just do delicate; check out the opening song "Leaving My Sorrow Behind", which is fine swamp bluesy pop, or "Transatlantic Shooting Stars", with its summery psychedelic chorus. --Lucy O'Brien
