In British horror 'The Children' (2008), a relaxing Christmas break turns into a terrifying fight for survival as the children begin to turn on their parents and embark on a gruesome killing spree. 'Waz' (2007) is a horror-thriller about a cop's search for a serial killer who leaves equations carved into his victims' skin. Despite feeling jaded and worn down by years of gangland brutality, veteran detective Eddie Argo (Stellan Skarsgard) is proud that he's always managed to play by the rules. However, circumstances begin to change as he and his new rookie partner, Helen Westcott (Melissa George), find themselves caught up in a string of horrifying murders. '[Rec]' (2007) is a Spanish horror film about an ambitious young television reporter who covers the night shift in one of Barcelona's local fire stations. When Angela (Manuela Velasco) and her cameraman Pablo follow the fire crew to a distress call from an elderly woman locked in her apartment, they're not expecting much in the way of excitement - but before long, Angela and Pablo are trapped inside the building - the only witnesses to the unimaginable horror contained within.
