Donald Swann was best known as a writer of superb comic songs and as half of the inimitable duo Flanders and Swann. However he was also a skilled composer of more serious music (though of a very tuneful, light character) as demonstrated by his Greek songs. His Casos Sonnets and other songs are arranged by John Janssens, some for orchestra, some for voice and piano. As a valuable bonus we include the Casos Sonnets recorded by Donald Swann himself in a private home-made recording - a unique historic record of this great musician.
