Robert Young directs this bawdy British comedy starring Diana Dors, Willie Rushton and Jack Wild. Taking a satirical swipe at the popular period drama 'Upstairs, Downstairs', the film follows life amongst an almost bankrupt aristocratic family and their servants. With the late night shenanigans of servants including butler Hampton (Neil Hallett) exemplifying the state of disarray that has led their family to the verge of financial oblivion, Lord and Lady Cockshute (Mark Singleton and Sue Longhurst) decide that a wealthy match must be found for their eccentric son Peregrine (Wild) to alleviate their plight. However, Peregrine, an inventor attuned to the problems of the house, has another solution in mind.
