Every episode of the fantasy adventure series following the discovery of an unusual egg in the Peak District. Stanley Katz (Judd Trichter), an American exchange student, discovers the egg when a pot-holing accident sees him tumble into a ravine. With Stanley reported missing by the rest of his group, a cub reporter from the local newspaper Rosie Bennett (Mia Fothergill) arrives to investigate. It swiftly becomes clear that she has a major scoop on her hands because Stanley has reappeared with the egg and it doesn't belong to any species those in attendance can think of. Moreover, it seems to be on the verge of hatching.
